Revealing Myself To Me
Finding strength in in God to speak life, healing, and joy.
MATTHEW 5:23-24 (NLT)
23 “So if you are presenting a sacrifice at the altar in the Temple and you suddenly remember that someone has something against you, 24 leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God.
EPHESIANS 4:29-32 (NKJV)
29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
You are the Proceeding Word that allows us to live, move and have our being. You are the Reliable Word that never returns void. Like rain and snow, You flood the Earth with Glory, giving seed to the sower and bread to the eater.
You are without fail. Rather, You prosper in the very thing You purposed to do to accomplish what You please. If you have said it, You shall perform it! If you have spoken it, You shall make it good!
Teach us how to be a voice crying in the wilderness. Teach us how to cry loud so the world may know of Your reconciling, redeeming power!
Teach us how to use that same voice to speak life, healing, restoration, favor, joy, peace and strength onto those around us.
Teach us how to pray without ceasing, help without hurting, and to love without limits. Teach us how to move from a verbal love to a practical and physical love.
Teach us how to listen, authentically and not just to listen in order to react. Assist in our not being a reacting people, but in being a responding people. Correct us in those areas where we judge others by their actions and judge ourselves by our intentions.
May we never be a body of believers that can uncover the issues of the world but be blind to the issues within our church community. May we never be a people that can see the specks in the world while be oblivious to the planks in our own eyes.
May we be people of reconciliation, refraining from harboring on the wrongs of those who have trespassed against us, but relying solely on Your Light to shine through us while leading our trespassers to the True and Living God. May we never forsake the gathering of ourselves together, but continue to focus on encouraging each other as the Day of Christ approaches.
Strengthen me in the area of:__________________________. Draw me closer to You as my work exemplifies Your everlasting presence in my life.
In the name of Jesus, Our Reconciler and Redeemer, Amen.
